The new operating system iOS 12 has the ability to automatically insert code from incoming SMS. Now when you receive a confirmation in the form of an SMS code, you do not have to manually enter it in the application.
It does not matter if it’s a banking application or an instant messenger, the code will automatically be inserted from the notification from the Messaging application as soon as you press the button below the keyboard. So, for example, if you receive a test SMS from the bank, it will be inserted in the address bar. Previously, you had to manually copy and paste the code.
Some applications already offer similar functionality – only if automatic code insertion works from push notifications.
iPhone 5s can support iOS 12
iPhone 5s can support iOS 12 , which will be presented in June this year. This conclusion was reached by experts from the portal MacGeneration, who found a mention of the smartphone in the test logs WebKit.
It is reported that WebKit was launched on the simulator iPhone 5s, which may indicate the support of the latest version of iOS. While this is hard to believe, since Apple does not usually update outdated smartphones: for the iPhone 4s and iPhone 5, the latest supported versions are iOS 9 and iOS 10, respectively.
As 9to5Mac reporters note, many of the devices with iOS 12 that visit their site have a resolution of 1136 x 640, which can correspond to iPhone 5s. However, the same resolution has iPhone SE, which is likely to receive an update to iOS 12.
Apple will officially unveil iOS 12 as part of the WWDC 2018 conference in June this year. Initially, the new version will be in the beta format, a public release is likely to take place in the fall.
