Instagram will have its own portrait mode
In the mobile application, Instagram can appear portrait mode of shooting, transfers TechCrunch referring to the icon of the forthcoming function, found in the application. Its presence testifies to the tests that social network developers spend secretly with a wide audience.
Obviously, Instagram decided to support the general enthusiasm for portraits and implement this shooting mode in the application with the same name. It is logical to assume that the innovation will allow creating photos with the bokeh effect without having to use a smartphone with its native support.
The shooting of portraits for a single camera was first realized by Google in Pixel smartphones of the second generation. For blurring the background, only software algorithms that can detect and isolate the main subject are responsible. Because of this, often the result leaves much to be desired.
Earlier it became known that Instagram is also testing the function of voice and video calls. If these options are implemented, the service for publishing photos will be indistinguishable from the messenger. The developers prefer to keep the release time for the final version of the application with support for the calls secret.
In addition to this portrait mode, we also recently caught wind of unannounced video and voice calling services that are being developed for Instagram. A portrait mode is certainly more of a core photo-capturing feature, but even so, it’s clear that there are big things in the work for the app this year.
