The Galaxy S9 display is better than the iPhone X
Every time a new smartphone comes out, DisplayMate experts conduct a series of tests to find out how the novelty is on the display. Recently, the light saw the new Samsung flagship, and the results of testing its screen are unlikely to give the Cupertino friends an occasion for pride.
At the end of last year, the guys from DisplayMate called the undisputed leader of the iPhone X, calling it the best display on the market. No sooner had Samsung released the Galaxy S9, as the novelty immediately caught the palm of the championship.
Among the strongest sides of the S9 screen, specialists call significantly improved clarity and improved color reproduction, which became possible due to a new level of factory calibration of displays. Separately, the brightness and the viewing angle were noted – the indicators that both smartphones are close to ideal.
Apple “stiffened”? Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy S9 and S9 +
Yesterday, as part of the MWC 2018 conference, Samsung introduced a new generation of its flagship smartphones – Galaxy S9 and S9 +. Since these devices are most often compared to the iPhone (both in price and performance), it’s more interesting to look at the announced novelties in more detail. Suddenly, Apple has something to learn?
We are also interested in the key differences between the new products from both the previous generation and the iPhone.
First of all, it should be noted that Samsung did not completely get rid of fingerprint scanners. The latter is now not on the side of the camera module but moved under it to make it more convenient for the user to reach it (and the camera was not in the fingerprints). At the same time, the company introduced the Intelligent Scan technology, which allows the smartphone to determine on its own how to unlock it. So, if the lighting is bad, the retina scanner works, otherwise, the whole face scanner works.
The rear cameras S9 and S9 + also underwent serious changes. At S9, the camera switches the aperture depending on the shooting conditions, and the S9 + can boast of a dual camera system. “Live focus” allows you to adjust the blur of the background, and the “multiframe” function creates sets of four frames and makes the last image with an already minimized noise level.
